Two older models WH-1000XM2 and WI-1000X can also be upgraded for Alexa Support

Sony's WH-1000XM3 are consumers best choice among different noise cancellation headphones available in the market. Today at CES, 2019, the company announced it will be adding Amazon Alexa support for WH-1000XM3 and two other previous models.

Users can upgrade their headphones by using Sony's Headphone Connect app. SONY headsets already had support for Google Assistant, by adding support for Alexa the company has catered to the needs of a large number of consumers who were left behind on these features.

What’s even better is that instead of offering the support only for the new headsets, even two previous model’s firmware can easily be upgraded to add the new features.

"Sony is always seeking to provide new listening experiences and to enhance the usability and integration of our products into users' daily lives," said Mike Fasulo, president, and chief operating officer of Sony Electronics North America. "Adding Alexa support to our noise-canceling wireless headphones makes it easy to find audio content so users spend less time searching for their music and more time enjoying it."

The Alexa upgrade will be made available within the first quarter of 2019, it will add up to the already available list of features like noise canceling, high-quality res sound, quick charging, long battery life and a state of art comfortable design.

"We are delighted to collaborate with Sony on listening experiences that combine high-quality sound with the simplicity of voice control," said Pete Thompson, vice president of the Alexa Voice Service. "With Alexa built-in, you can easily play music, hear the news, control smart home devices, access tens of thousands of skills, and more."
