Sometimes brands try to put the money for a Super Bowl ad slot into a marketing stunt to try to raise more awareness for less money. Candy brand Skittles had some memorable Super Bowl commercials in the past, but this year the brand will do something very different. Skittles is creating the first-ever commercial performed as a live Broadway musical on Super Bowl Sunday, Feb. 3, 1 pm ET.

Update: Skittles reveals that Michael C. Hall (Dexter) will star in the Skittles Broadway show.

“Skittles Commercial: The Broadway Musical” is the real deal— featuring original songs backed by a live band and Pulitzer-finalist Will Eno as the playwright. The half-hour musical will be performed one time only in front of a live audience at The Town Hall in New York City. The 17-member cast will be led by soon-to-be-announced celebrity.

The tickets for the Skittles Broadway show are on sale now and proceeds will go to charity. Find out more and get tickets o the Skittles the Musical site.
