Thousands of new toys are on display at the Toy Fair 2019 in New York.

The Toy Fair 2019 in New York is the grand stage for new toys that try to become the hottest toy of the Holiday season. Most of the toys on the display will launch late summer or fall, in time for the all-important Holiday shopping season. Last year there was no single hottest Holiday toy that everyone wanted to have. L.O.L. Surprise dominated the sales charts and also took home Toy of the Year Award.

Unboxing toys continue to be a big trend for 2019, as toymakers try to compete with L.O.L. Surprise for market share. Meanwhile, L.O.L. Surprise already has its next hit release on the market with the L.O.L. Surprise Fuzzy Pets. Blume is the most innovative new unboxing toy. You need to sprinkle water on the plant pot and a doll with big hair appears.

Electronic pets are also back in 2019 with new characters and features. There will be new Pomsies and many new Fingerlings, including the Baby Shark Fingerling.

The weirdest new toy that actually has a chance to become the hottest Holiday toy of 2019 is Spin Master's Owleez. The Owleez are electronic pets that actually fly. The owls have hidden helicopter blades that appear when it lifts its head from the torso. It's a weird cyborg look, but something new. The cutest new electronic pet is Juno the Elephant, also from Spin Master.

Classic toys will be a big topic again, besides toys from movie franchises. A toy that combines both is the new Mr. Potato Head Movin' Lips. It's a very classic toy and it appears in Toy Story 4. The new Mr. Potato Head has lips that talk and move around.
