Amazon takes on Apple's AirPods this year.

Amazon is working on wireless earbuds with Alexa built-in. Bloomberg reports that the Amazon Wireless earbuds are aimed at beating Apple's AirPods in audio quality. The buds will sit inside the ear without a hook.

Wireless Earbuds are missing in the already vast Alexa product line-up. It totally makes sense for Amazon to move into this market as well. The Amazon earbuds will be very affordable compared to the Apple AirPods and will on sale in the Black Friday 2019 and Holiday 2019 shopping season with hefty discounts. Apple and other makers of wireless earbuds will have to brace themselves this Holiday season.

The release of the Amazon Alexa earbuds is supposed to take place in the second half of 2019. Amazon already offers headphones and earbuds under the AmazonBasics brand.
