The Sony PlayStation 5 (expected name) will not be released in 2019 as rumored a 2020 release date is likely. Cerny did not say 2020 in the interview, but thats the expectation.

The PS5 is no mere upgrade and as rumored will be based on 7nm AMD chips. The CPU is based on the third generation of the Ryzen line with eight cores in 7nm Zen 2 microarchitecture. The PS5 GPU is a custom variant of Radeon’s Navi family. For the first time a console will support ray tracing, which will add a new quality to graphics of games. Also new will be a 3D sound chip.

The biggest new thing in the PS5 is according to Cherny a super fast SSD that is aimed at eliminating load times. Read the full interview on Wired.
