Elden Ring is FromSoftware's largest game-to-date.

Following the success of recently concluded HBO series Game of Thrones, George R.R. Martin — whose book “A Song of Ice and Fire” inspired the T.V. show — is reportedly working with the creators of the Dark Souls video game series on a new game called “Elden Ring.”

A leaked press release spotted by Gematsu shows a lineup of upcoming games by Bandai Namco that are set to be unveiled at the 2019 E3, or Electronic Entertainment Expo, which will run from June 11 to 13.

Among those included in the lineup is a game called Elden Ring, which, according to the leaked release, is developed by FromSoftware and Bandai Namco Entertainment. The release says Elden Ring “is a fantasy action-RPG adventure set within a world created by Hidetaka Miyazaki—creator of the influential Dark Souls video game series; and George R.R. Martin—author of The New York Times best-selling fantasy series, A Song of Ice and Fire.”

The announcement also claims the game is FromSoftware’s largest game-to-date.

Apart from Dark Souls, Miyazaki is also involved in directing other video games like Armored Core and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. The report did not disclose a snippet of the Elden Ring’s plot.

However, Gematsu also spotted several other games that are also expected to be unveiled at the 2019 E3, including “Tales of Arise,” which will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The game is set on a planet called Dahna.

Meanwhile, the news outlet said “Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch” is the only game that lists Switch as the platform, in addition to PS4 and PC. The game description says: “Join Oliver as he embarks on an adventure through a world inhabited by new friends and ferocious foes alike in the hopes of bringing back his mother after a tragic incident.”

The expo will take place at the Los Angeles Convention Center in L.A.
