The Note 10 could be bigger than its predecessor with a 6.66-inch display.

Almost a year after the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Note 9, Samsung fans are already anticipating for the release of its successor, the Galaxy Note 10.

Samsung faces intense pressure over the delayed release of its Galaxy Fold, which was expected to launch on April 26 in some markets, including the U.S., for $1,980. It comes as technology bloggers and reporters who were handed the phones to review found certain issues concerning the foldable screen. It raises skepticism over whether such designs are ready to be released to the public or whether smartphone makers are able to commit to this new trend.

Samsung has yet to announce a certain date for the Galaxy Fold’s official release, so bloggers and some tech sites have shifted focus on the Galaxy Note 10.

As with the Fold, there is also no official announcement on the Note 10’s release or whether Samsung will release a Note 10, but rumors suggest it could be this August.

So what’s in store for people who are looking to get their hands on the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 10? We have compiled a list of some of the rumored features that the Note 10 could equip.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 may rule out adding a headphone jack, following on the footsteps of its rival, Apple, which started to do it with the iPhone 7. According to Android Police, which cited “a source familiar with the company’s plans,” the Note 10 will have no longer sport a headphone jack, despite Apple getting a backlash for doing it.

Android Police also reported that the Note 10 could no longer have exterior buttons — the power, volume and Bixby buttons — and will replace them with capacitive buttons like the iPhone 7 and 8’s static version that is force sensitive.

Samsung could up its camera game with the Galaxy Note 10 as tech blog site Sam Mobile suggests the phone could have a quad-camera system, its second flagship to have four cameras following the Galaxy S10 5G.

Sam Mobile also projects the Note 10 to have a 4,300mAh battery with a rated capacity of 4,170mAh. The news site cited a photo of a battery that was taken from the testing labs of the Korea Testing and Research Institute. The leaked photo of the battery has a logo of Samsung.

A 6.66-INCH DISPLAY WITH A 19:9 ASPECT RATIO reported that the Note 10’s screen size could be 6.66 inches, bigger than the 6.4-inch Note 9, making it more like a phablet than a regular-sized phone. The tech blog site cited Korean media. Meanwhile, Dutch tech site Mobielkopen said in May that the phone could have a 19:9 aspect ratio, compared to the Note 9’s 18.5:9 ratio.

Mobielkopen also noted that there could be four variants of the Note 10: the standard Galaxy Note 10, the Galaxy Note 10 5G, the Galaxy Note 10 Pro and the Galaxy Note 10 Pro 5G.

These rumors may seem plausible as Samsung never fails to surprise the world (especially Android fans) with its innovations. We can only wait and see what’s in store for Samsung fans later this year.
