The mid-range Galaxy A90's charging system could even be faster than that of Samsung's upcoming flagship, the Galaxy S10.

Samsung could likely release a 5G version of an unannounced Galaxy A90 with a 45W fast charging feature, faster than the Galaxy S10 5G’s 25W Super fast charging capability.

The Verge reported, citing reliable leakers OnLeaks and Ice Universe, that there will be two models of the A90, one with 5G and without it. This allows the South Korean smart phone maker to market the device even in countries without a 5G network.

The two versions will reportedly have a 6.7-inch display, an in-display fingerprint sensor and a Snapdragon 855 chipset. The report added that both cameras will sport a triple rear camera setup, which includes a 48-megapixel main sensor. However, the non-5G model will have a 12-megapixel and 5-megapixel sensor for its second cameras, unlike the 5G model, which will only have 8-megapixel and 5-megapixel cameras in addition to the main sensor.

A leaked photo obtained by IndiaShopps in April hinted at a possible pop-up camera, which is eerily similar to the Oppo Find X.

Another rumor in April also showed the Galaxy A90's pop-up camera rotating.

The video by Waqar Khan, which has gained over half a million views on YouTube to date, is a render based on leaks, rumors and Samsung's concept design.

Meanwhile, the latest report comes about two months after leaks suggested that Samsung’s upcoming flagship phone, the Galaxy S10, will have a 5G version. Earlier reports also pointed to a possible 5G version of the Galaxy Note 10 and the new Galaxy Fold. If confirmed, the Galaxy A90 could be Samsung’s most affordable 5G phone yet, being part of the A-line of mid-range Samsung models.

AT&T and Verizon could carry Samsung’s 5G range after announcing in 2018 their agreements to do so, according to separate reports by The Verge. Partnerships with telecommunication companies could pave the way for Samsung's wider 5G phones rollout.

I4U earlier reported that the Note 10 is expected to be unveiled August 7 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, where Samsung introduced the Note 9 last year.

In addition, Samsung Display Vice President Kim Seong-cheol told audience at an event held by the Korean Information Display Society on June 18 in Seoul that when released, the Galaxy Fold could play a big part in the 5G era, signaling speculations that the device would also have 5G capability.
