The device could be smaller than the iPhone 5s.

A tiny smartphone that appears to be a Nokia running on Android has popped up on eBay, with the seller currently offering it at $1,999.

The seller listed it as Nokia Unreleased Mini Android Device Prototype, calling it the “Ion Mini.” Photos of the prototype revealed that the phone’s entire body can fit on a user’s palm. A side-by-side photo of it with the 123.8mm x 58.6mm iPhone 5s shows the actual scale of the phone, which is significantly smaller than Nokia’s existing Android devices.

The seller, who goes by “emilgaigns,” is based on Romania. Among their listings on eBay is another unreleased prototype, called the “Kataya,” in addition to other vintage phone listings.

The potential new phones comes as the Finnish phone company works to revive its position among the world’s top phone makers. Long before Apple and Samsung ranked atop the list of best smartphones, Nokia dominated the telecommunications industry with its mobile phones. However, the company almost neared bankruptcy after its Windows Phone failed following the acquisition of its smartphone business by Microsoft.

Later on, in January 2014, Nokia introduced the Nokia X, its first phone to operate on a customized version of the Android operating system. This was followed by the N1, an Android tablet.

Currently, Nokia offers a range of Android phones that retail from about $139.99 to $699.99.

The Nokia 9 PureView is the company’s latest flagship, which was revealed earlier this year at the Mobile World Congress. The phone boasts five rear-facing cameras, Snapdragon 845, 6GB of RAM and 128GB of built-in storage. The Nokia 9 PureView will run on Android 9 Pie and is artificial intelligence-integrated to understand users’ preferences.

Nokia has yet to reveal whether the leaked prototype of the Nokia Ion Mini is coming out or is in the works, but we will definitely keep an eye out to provide an update.
