Beweather Is Back on the App Store: But Is It Still the Best Weather App?

Beweather is back on the app store after several months of unavailability.

Beweather is one of the best weather apps for iPhone. A few months ago Beweather just vanished from the app store. Thousands of Beweather fans took to the internet to report the unavailability of this app. While the reasons behind Beweather’s removal from the app store are still unknown, the good news is that Beweather is back in the store.

Beweather 3 gives a lot of flexibility and customization. You can select from a list of over 200 fonts and icons to make the weather app eyes friendly. However, Beweather’s classic version was using data from Weather Underground, which is famous for its data accuracy. But the latest version seems to be just directly sourcing its data from Dark Sky, which has its own iOS and Android apps.

Beweather’s stability isn’t like its older version. I believe it would take a few updates to sort the current bugs out. For example, Beweather 3 sometimes doesn’t show the exact location of the user. It misses the specific location metrics like streets and counties. Some users also report that the app sometimes start showing generic locations like 'Caribbean Sea'.

For the time being, a quick fix to always get accurate location data on Beweather 3 is to turn on “Background App Refresh” and set your location services to “Always On.”

The most famous feature of the classic Beweather app personal weather stations is also missing in the latest version. Users are also not able to see temperature badges and share feature. There have been some reports of problems with the app’s widget as well.

Another disappointment is that Beweather 3 doesn’t support Apple Watch.

We expect that future updates will resolve the current problems in the app.

But if you can’t wait to use your favorite Beweather app, go ahead and buy it. The app currently costs $3.99 on the app store.
