Locate your missing headphones through an app or the Find My Device website for Fast Pair.

Fast Pair, Google’s solution to pairing up Android phones with bluetooth headphones in an instant, is about to have new features that would allow users to locate their headsets when they are missing, among other changes.

The Google Fast Pair Service was announced in October 2017 to help users connect audio devices such as speakers, headphones and car kits with Android. It was updated in early 2018 to support Chrome OS devices and in November 2018, Google rolled out the service to the Jaybird Tarah Bluetooth headphones.

Most recently, Google said it added more than 10 devices that would support Fast Pair. They include the following:

Anker Spirit Pro GVA

Anker SoundCore Flare+ (Speaker)

JBL Live 220BT

JBL Live 400BT

JBL Live 500BT

JBL Live 650BT

Jaybird Tarah

1More Dual Driver BT ANC

LG HBS-SL5

LG HBS-PL6S

LG HBS-SL6S

LG HBS-PL5

Cleer Ally Plus

These new devices will soon be integrated with the Find My Device tool that will let users track their missing devices via the Find My Device app or website for Fast Pair devices. The app and website will show details such as the location of the headphones and the time of last use. Users can also unpair or ring the earphones when they are within range.

Another added feature to Fast Pair are True Wireless Features as more headphone manufacturers start to shift to wireless headphones. Google said it is building system-wide support for True Wireless Stereo.

Google added that Fast Pair devices will also have an enhanced Bluetooth device details page on users’ phones where they can manage the headphone’s settings including the Find My Device tool. The page will also have a sound equalizer, assistant and notifications options and more.
