How to Fix Bixby Not Working in Samsung Note Devices

Bixby is not working for a lot of Samsung Note users. Here is how to fix the virtual assistant.


Bixby is Samsung’s virtual assistant that was launched in 2017. Bixby is
now integrated in Samsung’s new phones. Mostly, user reviews for Bixby are
excellent. But a lot of Samsung Galaxy Note users report that Bixby always
responds with “Got it, I canceled it” message when they ask it to carry out
simple tasks, like opening contacts, calling people and doing searches.
This has been reported by a lot of people, and has become a broader issue.


Bixby’s problems are pretty common when it comes to contacts app. Whenever
you open contacts or issue commands related to the contacts app, Bixby
starts acting up.


How to Fix Bixby Returning "Got It, I cancelled it" Messages

Here are some of the ways to fix Bixby not working in Samsung Galaxy Note
devices.


Update

One of the best ways to fix Bixby not working issue is to install updates.
Samsung says that it fixed Bixby’s issues in the new updates. In order to
update your Bixby, go to the app and open the “More options” section.

Open Settings.

Swipe and open the About section.

You will see an Update button if there is an update available.

This should fix Bixby’s “Got it, I cancelled it” messages problem.


Clear App Cache


One of the best and easiest ways to fix Bixby not working problem is to
clear the app’s cache.

In order to clear cache of Bixby, follow the steps below.

Open setting and go the Applications.

Scroll down and open Bixby.

Go to the Storage section.

Here you will see a button to clear cache.

The process will take a few seconds.


Hard Reset

The last option you should try to fix Bixby problems is to hard reset your
device. This would result in data loss, so make sure to back up and save
all your data in another device.


Samsung Support

If nothing works, you should contact Samsung support. There have been
reports of device-specific issues resulting in Bixby not working. If your
device is faulty, you could get a new device by claiming warranty.
