iPhone 11 Release Date: Accidental Leak Suggests New iPhone Coming in September

Softbank President's comments had a hint at iPhone 11 launch date.

We are in the new iPhone launch season. Millions of Apple fans around the
world are wondering about the iPhone 11 release date. Normally, Apple
releases its iPhone in September ever year. But this year, the company has
been unusually quiet. There are no event invites or apparent preparations.
But a new leak suggests iPhone 11 might be launched very soon.

At an investor event, Softbank President Ken Miyauchi, while answering a question about the new
law in Japan that would make it necessary for telecom companies to separate
data and device plans, accidentally hinted at the iPhone 11 release

“…. I am wondering what should I do for 10 days. No, I shouldn’t say that..
Anyway, I don’t know when the new iPhone will be released. However, almost
after 10 days, it will be unbundled,” Miyauchi said.

The new law in Japan goes into effect October 1. Miyauchi was mentioning how
it would become difficult for Apple to manage the data and service plans in
the interim period.

Based on this, it’s safe to say that the President is aware that the new
iPhone comes on September 20.

Almost all iPhone 11 release date leaks suggest that the new phone will be
released in September. Apple usually holds its iPhone event on the second
Tuesday or Wednesday of September every year. By this account, iPhone 11
launch event would fall on September 10 or September 11. Analysts believe
that Apple won’t hold the event on September 11 due to the tragic World
Trade Center attacks anniversary. This means the new iPhone 2019 release
date would be September 10.

Despite the declining iPhone sales, Apple has big plans for its new iPhone.
According to the Wall Street Journal, the company is expected to launch three new iPhone models, including a low-priced version and a new
iteration of iPhone XR.
