Mattel unveils Hot Wheels Infinite Loop online racing game for iOS

The game is coming to Android devices soon.

Just two months after marking its digital push with the Hot Wheels id mixed reality experience, Mattel has pulled up the curtains for its latest play experience that is purely digital.

The toy company behind Barbie dolls, Fisher-Price toys and Hot Wheels toy cars has launched Hot Wheels Infinite Loop, a new digital racing game that is now available on the App Store for iPhones and iPads. The game will soon arrive on Android.

Hot Wheels Infinite Loop is Mattel’s first-ever free-to-play online game. It will feature the iconic Hot Wheels catalog that we have all enjoyed as kids. Players of the game can drive the Hot Wheels cars to battle it out in a smash-and-crash speed competition against other players from across the globe in real time.

The goal is to compete and win to earn upgrades and collect the most legendary Hot Wheels cars, such as the Bone Shaker, Twin Mill, Rodger Dodger and more.

Mattel officially unveiled the game at the Gamescom, Europe’s leading trade fair for digital games, which was held in Cologne, Germany.

According to the listing on the App Store, up to eight players can play in real-time. The game is set in the year 2068 in New York and London. During tournaments, players can drift to pump up their boost and speed their way ahead of their rivals.

Hot Wheels Infinite Loop is a fun way to play with your Hot Wheels collection aside from the Hot Wheels id mixed play.

Download it now on the App Store. For Android users, Mattel says they can now pre-register for the game to receive special rewards including the ultra-sleek Tur-Bone Charged car with exclusive skin at launch.
