Into the Dead 2 coming to the Nintendo Switch and Switch Lite before Halloween

It’s only two months before Halloween, the spookiest holiday of the year, but we have already seen a wave of zombies games and toys that are created to bring fright to the next level.

Just this day, independent games publisher Versus Evil has announced that it is releasing its apocalyptic zombie shooter Into The Dead 2 for the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch Lite on October 25, just days before Halloween.

Into the Dead 2 is the follow-up to the hit mobile game franchise Into the Dead, which has gained over 100 million downloads to date.

Previously, the game was only available for iOS, Android and Windows Phone 8 devices. With its arrival on the Nintendo Switch and Switch Lite, the game’s creators are bringing a whole new way for fans to enjoy their favorite zombie shooter game.

Into the Dead 2’s launch will follow the highly awaited release of the Nintendo Switch Lite, Nintendo’s lighter, cheaper and more portable version of the Nintendo Switch. Customers can start pre-ordering the console now on, GameStop and

There's also a limited edition called the Nintendo Switch Lite Zacian and Zamazenta variant, to mark the upcoming release of the Pokémon Sword and Shield RPG games in November. All four variants are set to be released on September 20. They all retail at $199.99, $100 cheaper than their predecessor, the Nintendo Switch.

For those who purchase the Nintendo Switch Lite, Into the Dead 2 is an exciting game to add to your library.

When the game launches on October 25, officially licensed Ghostbusters and Night of The Living Dead missions will be available.

The game’s plot will revolve around the protagonist as he tries to save his family from zombies.

The game lets out a horde of the undead over 60 fast paced narrative driven levels and 36 additional side story missions. Players will be able to equip themselves with 25 unique weapons across 8 different classes.

Players can also pick out 8 loyal animal companions to fight by their side, including dogs and zombie-eating tigers.

“Into the Dead 2 on Nintendo Switch will give players plenty to sink their teeth into with its heart-pounding, arcade-style gameplay. We’re thrilled to include the licensedGhostbusters and Night of The Living Dead content, which make Into the Dead 2 an essential addition to any Halloween gaming sessions,” Versus Evil’s General Manager Steve Escalante said in a statement.

Into the Dead 2 is also available on the App Store and on Google Play.
