Spotify now lets users share songs on Facebook Stories

Sharing songs on Facebook has never been easier.

If you’re a fan of sharing Spotify tracks on your Instagram Stories, you’re in for some good news. Spotify has announced that it is rolling out the same sharing feature on Facebook, letting users share songs and podcasts on their Facebook Stories.

The move comes over a year after the feature was rolled out on Instagram.

What’s even more special about the share-to-Facebook feature is that your Facebook friends who click on your Story will be able to hear a 15-second preview before tapping to listen to the song when they get redirected to their Spotify app.

All you have to do is to tap “Share” when playing a song, select the Facebook icon, customize your Story with texts or emojis if you want to and post it for your friends to see. This is a great feature for artists to promote their tracks to their fans easily on Facebook.

“Taking advantage of our sharing features helps to get your tunes to more people’s ears. It will also encourage your fans to interact with you and your music and help spread the love through their own Facebook Stories,” the company said.

Over a week ago, technology blogger and white hat hacker Jane Manchun Wong said Spotify is working on an Instagram and Facebook-like Story sharing feature that would let artists post Stories on their Spotify pages as part of their advertising efforts.

Spotify has yet to confirm Wong’s assumption, but Wong is known for finding out exclusive previews of what social media apps are about to launch.
