Scary mobile game ‘Rest in Pieces’ now available on Nintendo Switch

Save as many souls as you could by waking them up from their horrible nightmares.

Prepare to get spooked as a terrifying game that has become a hit on mobile devices has finally landed on the Nintendo Switch.

Rest in Pieces, which was developed by game creator Itatake, has been rated a whopping 4.8 stars on Apple’s App Store and 4.2 stars on Google Play.

The objective of the game is to swing fragile porcelain figurines through horrid nightmares…without breaking. You are on a mission to wake up little Georgina from her evil clown dream, help drunken pirate Jack Parrot vanquish the horrible sea monster Kraken and save Father Lugosi from Count Dracula’s bloodthirsty fangs.

The goal is to save many souls as you could by waking them up from several frightening nightmares.

Rest in Pieces is an award-winning game, having made it to the Top 10 best games at the Google Play Indie Games Showcase in June.

After gaining success on mobile devices, Itatake decided to roll out the game to consoles, starting with the Nintendo Switch.

“Rest in Pieces was considered to be a game for Nintendo Switch from the beginning and we designed it with that in mind. But this is a new platform to us and that is why we decided to launch it for mobiles first,” Itatake’s Thomas Wedin said in a statement.

The game is now available for purchase on the Nintendo eShop for $7.99.

Rest in Pieces is also set to hit the Nintendo Switch Lite, which is launching five days from now. The Nintendo Switch Lite is the lighter and more affordable version of the Nintendo Switch that is built for handheld play.

Pre-order the Switch Lite via Walmart.com, GameStop or Amazon.com. On Amazon.com, players can choose from three variants:

Nintendo Switch Lite Gray

Nintendo Switch Lite Turquoise

Nintendo Switch Lite Yellow

There's also a limited edition called the Nintendo Switch Lite Zacian and Zamazenta variant, to mark the upcoming release of the Pokémon Sword and Shield RPG games in November. All four variants are set to be released on September 20. They all retail at $199.99, $100 cheaper than their predecessor, the Nintendo Switch.
