Batman arrives on Fortnite on Batman Day

Get ready for a caped crossover.

To mark the 80th anniversary of Batman, Fortnite, the most popular game in the U.S., will make Batman and Catwoman available as heroes that players can select.

It's the most epic crossover that Fortnite players can experience this year.

The Fortnite x Batman crossover will run from today until October 6. You can avail of the Batman Caped Crusader Pack from the Fortnite Store now.

As part of the crossover, a Rift Zone has turned Tilted Town into Gotham City. You can try out the Batman Grapnel Gun with 10 charges. When your Grapnel Gun launches the grappling hook, your character will be catapulted in a flat arc towards the point of impact. While launching, your character will deploy the Bat Cape, which can be used like any other Glider to traverse great distances.

You can also try out the Explosive Batarang that's found from Floor Loot, Chests, Supply Drops, and Llamas. The Explosive Batarang drops in stacks of five. The projectile explodes when in close proximity to an opponent. The damage to players by the Batarang is 50, while the damage to the environment is 200.

Channel your inner Batman with the Batman suit that comes with the Batman Caped Crusader Pack, which also includes the Batman Comic Book Outfit and The Dark Knight Movie Outfit!

Other than the Batman Caped Crusader Pack, other iconic Batman-themed items will also be available in store, such as the Catwoman outfit.

By taking on some challenges, you'll get to win free rewards from the Welcome to Gotham City Challenge Bundle, including Catwoman's Catwing Glider!

Join in on the fun now.

The update is available as part of the latest Fortnite patch. Other changes to the game include a Party Hub, where you can see who's online, party up and play together.

The latest patch also resolved some issues with the Star Wand and AC/DC Pickaxes that were found to be not doing the intended amount of damage.

Aside from all these, the game's creator, Epic Games, also made it possible for players to use two apps at once on supported iPads: iPad Pro, iPad (5th generation and later), iPad Air 2 and later and iPad mini 4 and later.
