Epic Games offers 6 Batman games for free until Sept 26

To the Batcave!

September 21 marks the 80th anniversary of Batman, the day when our favorite caped crusader appeared on DC Comics.

Earlier, we reported about Fortnite's special Batman crossover, letting players dress their characters in Batman's costumes and use Batman's Grapnel Gun and Explosive Batarang.

Now, Epic Games is extending its Batman offerings to include not just one, but six free Batman games to celebrate our love for Batman.

Starting September 21, players can download a total of six Batman games from the Epic Store for free. The games are part of the Batman Arkham Collection and the Lego Batman Trilogy.

Batman: Arkham Collection

Batman: Arkham Asylum

Batman: Arkham City

Batman: Arkham Knight

The Batman: Arkham collection features definitive versions of Rocksteady's Arkham trilogy games. The collection has apparently left out Batman: Arkham Origins, which is the only game in the series that was not created by Rocksteady, but by WB Games Montréal.

The Batman: Arkham series started with the Batman: Arkham Asylum in 2009. The Asylum centers on Batman trying to stop the Joker from destroying Gotham City. The second game in 2011, Batman: Arkham City, is a follow-up to the story, where Batman was confined and became terribly ill from a disease brought about by the Joker. Arkham City was later followed by Batman: Arkham Origins in 2013 and Batman: Arkham Nights in 2015.

Lego Batman Trilogy

LEGO Batman™: The Videogame

LEGO Batman™ 2: DC Super Heroes

LEGO Batman™ 3: Beyond Gotham

The trilogy includes the LEGO Batman™: The Videogame, where Batman and Robin take on the villains in Arkham Asylum after they teamed up and broke loose. The goal of the game is to capture escaped villains like The Joker, Penguin, Scarecrow and more. The follow-up, LEGO Batman™ 2: DC Super Heroes, is where Batman and Robin are joined by other DC super heroes including Superman, Wonder Woman and Green Lantern, who all work to save Gotham City from destruction.

The last installation in the trilogy, LEGO Batman™ 3: Beyond Gotham, is the best-selling LEGO Batman videogame franchise. It's where Batman and the other DC super heroes join together to stop the evil Brainiac from destroying Earth.

The Batman: Arkham Collection and the Lego Batman Trilogy regularly retail at $23.99, but you can now download them for free until September 26.
