UNO's 1st ever Braille deck up for pre-order on Amazon

Mattel-owned UNO is introducing new ways to make UNO cards more inclusive.

Mattel, the biggest toy maker to date, has launched a special line of UNO cards designed for the blind.

The new UNO Braille is now up for pre-order on Amazon.com at $9.99 before they start shipping out on January 1, 2020.

UNO cards have traditionally been part of friends and families' playtime ever since it was created in the 1970s.

The card game has since branched out in later years, with Mattel launching special versions of UNO cards. In 2017, UNO created UNO ColorADD, the first accessible card game for those with color blindness. It's still available on Amazon.com at 16% off for only $6.75.

Now, UNO is again making playtime more inclusive with the addition of UNO Braille. The card maker has teamed up with the National Federation of the Blind to design the cards with braille marks.

This way, people with blind friends or family members can play UNO with them.

UNO Braille features braille on the corner of each card to indicate the card’s color and number or action. The packaging of this special card deck also feature braille on the front and back for clear identification.

Customers can head on to UNOBraille.com to view the instructions of the game. The website also provides downloadable .BRF, or braille readable files, that can be printed. Players can also ask Alexa or Google Assistant for instructions to play the game.

Pre-order an UNO Braille deck now on Amazon.com.
