Sling TV offers free streaming for Android and Amazon devices

You can now watch TV shows on your device without a subscription.

Sling TV, a TV streaming service that's available online, has expanded its free tier service to Android and Amazon devices.

The expansion comes months after Sling TV rolled out its free streaming service on Roku. At the time of the launch on Roku devices, Sling TV promised to roll out the service to other devices including Android TV and Amazon.

Currently, a 30+ channel subscription is priced at $15 a month for viewing on devices such as the Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, Chromecast, AirTV Player, LG and Samsung TVs, iPhones and iPads, Android phones, Windows 10 devices, as well as the Oculus VR and the Xbox One.

Now, Sling TV is free for Roku, as well as Amazon and Android devices without having to pay for subscription.

The free viewing can be experienced on an Android mobile, Android TV, Amazon Fire TV or Amazon Fire tablet. On top of the free service, customers can still pay for pay-per-view events movies on Android and Roku devices only if they wish to, or subscribe to standalone channels like Showtime, STARZ and more.

To enjoy the service, simply download the Sling TV app on a Roku, Android or Amazon device and follow instructions to access guest mode. Those in guest mode can access content from the “My TV” screen and more including episodes of popular shows like Live PD: Police Patrol, Hell’s Kitchen, 3rd Rock from the Sun or movies like The Illusionist or Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans.

You don't need an account to enjoy the said shows.
