Adobe adds Alexa Skill to help you defeat your creative block

Let Alexa help you reignite your creative fire.

The creative block is an artist's worst enemy. It hinders an artist from getting his creative juices flowing and sometimes, it can last more than a while.

Now, Adobe, the developer behind the most popular creative software in the world, has found a way to defeat the creative block in the form of an Alexa skill called Adobe Inspiration Engine.

Adobe Inspiration Engine is now available on for free and you can simply say commands like: “Alexa, open Adobe Inspiration Engine” or “Alexa, tell Adobe Inspiration Engine I would like a quick insight” or “Alexa, tell Adobe Inspiration Engine I want to know my creative type.”

This way, you can get some inspiration right through Alexa. Adobe describes this new skill as "the most in-depth skill for creators."

This Alexa skill comes equipped with exercises, visual inspiration, and quick-hit content.

The Adobe Inspiration Engine is available on any Alexa-enabled device such as the Echo Show, any Echo speaker or the Amazon Firestick. If you don't have a device that has built-in Alexa, you can download the Alexa app and enable the Adobe Inspiration Engine from there.

Once activated, the Adobe Inspiration Engine has different components to reignite your creative process.

With 'Quick Insight,' the skill will provide you with a quote or insightful sentence from creative minds like Jessica Walsh, Pascal Campion or Weitong Mai. In 'Exercises,' you can pick a certain voice to guide you through activities like using your senses and environment to explore your current project. In 'Visual Inspiration,' creative imagery from Behance will flash on your Alexa-enabled screen.

You can also try out 'My Creative Type' quiz to find out which type of creative you are: a Thinker, a Visionary, a Dreamer.

Adobe Inspiration Engine is now available in the U.S., U.K., Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
