So many people are keen to do it themselves. They think that an online course and a rudimentary knowledge of coding is enough to make them an expert on search engine optimisation. So, if you are a great digital entrepreneur, looking to make it big in eth e-commerce space, then focus on being that person. Don't suddenly also set yourself up as an SEO expert as well. Pretty soon you will be a jack of all trades and a master of none and that is not the way to succeed. Know your audience

It is critical to know your audience and to know who you are targeting. This might sound like an obvious thing to say but so often people measure success in the wrong way. For instance, you might think that your SEO strategy is yielding outstanding results in your traffic has doubled within a month – but if that new traffic is irrelevant then the campaign hasn't been successful at all. And when we say irrelevant what we mean is are they a quality audience. You need to make sure that your SEO partner is a local SEO specialist and that they know how to attract a local audience – people who will shop at your store or to whom you can deliver your products. Obviously, if your footprint is more global then this is less of an issue.

It is okay to spend

As good as organic search sounds, it is also okay to pay for results. The reality is that you are paying for good rankings in the organic search department, albeit indirectly. With paid search, it is just a little more obvious. Buy keywords and have your platform or product appear in the paid results that come at the top of a list of search results.
