Upcoming Runescape and OSRS Updates

RuneScape is undeniably one of the juggernauts of classic MMOs. They've lasted this long (though in different versions), and they continue to enjoy a relatively consistent amount of activity–thanks to their loyal fan base. At any rate, they've been cranking up the updates are showing no signs of stopping yet.

So for your perusal, here are the most recent updates to the game. Take note of the ones that could affect your Runescape gold farming!

Increased Skill Level Cap

Two skills are getting an increased level cap, Farming and Herblore. With this increase, there will be new skilling activities and materials you can gather. For farming, you'll be able to raise animals, as well as plant new crops. There's also the mega produce you can get by using a Potion of Harvest. They're better versions of the usual crops, which can be used to create Primal Feasts.

Herblore practitioners will be able to brew 'Extreme Poison', 'Powerbust', and 'Extreme Overload'. These potions, while powerful, last for only a short time. It's something to look forward to once you get to that level. You'll also have access to the super-powerful, untradeable Blessed Flask. What does it do? Well, you better get skilling to find out!

These two skills actually help each other. You can farm some of the ingredients needed for the high-level potions. In the same vein, only a high-leveled Herblore practitioner can make a Potion of Harvest that can let farmers make Primal Feasts.Get leveling!

OSRS Expansion and Challenge-Focused Leagues

The expansion will open a new area for PC and mobile players alike. Darkmeyer, the vampire city, will bring new activities as well as a new agility course. In general, the expansion will also lead players closer to the conclusion of the Myreque series of quests.

Then there's new skilling content, a new skill to learn, and a new group boss to defeat. The new skill is Archaeology, which lets players unearth treasures and Relics. The latter would be a good source of OSRS gold, as they enable their owners to do nigh-miraculous feats. Only one can be equipped and active, however. Also, they have massive cooldowns to offset its powerful effects.

The Morytania Expansion looks exciting, doesn't it? Unfortunately, it will drop in early 2020, but that's just a month away. That's a short time to wait. Do your best to prepare for the expansion!

And There’s More to Come!

Jagex is not planning to stop updating either RS or Old School Runescape anytime soon. That's more time to expect expansions, updates, and other interesting additions to the games. Whether that will be increasing the skill level cap, adding new skills, or content is the question. Then again, the community will appreciate any addition to keep the game fresh. It needs that to keep itself going.

RuneScape is here to stay for some time yet. So don't worry, and continue enjoying your adventures in Gielinoras much as you can.

Have fun in whatever endeavor you want to do in Runescape or OSRS!
