CES 2020: LG to add air fry technology to smart ovens

LG is integrating air frying and knock-on technologies to its ovens.

LG’s smart ovens will soon have air frying capabilities as the South Korean consumer electronics company is set to introduce its new LG InstaView ThinQ Range with Air Fry at the CES 2020 on January 7.

This proprietary cooking technology by LG will integrate air frying and LG’s InstaView technology to make smart cooking possible.

The InstaView features lets users knock twice on the oven's glass window to illuminate the oven’s interior so users can easily check the status of the dish that they are cooking. This saves users from having to open the oven door from time to time.

Meanwhile, the air fry technology will also save the users from buying those expensive air fryers. LG’s ovens will soon have their own built-in air fryers, letting users cook up healthy meals without the need for oil. With a built-in air fryer, users will also save space in their kitchen because they will no longer need to buy a separate small appliance to do the air frying for them.

LG added that its smart ovens also take advantage of the company’s existing EasyClean and Self Clean technology, making it easier to maintain a clean oven. Using steam, EasyClean is capable of removing light food residue in only 10 minutes without the need for harmful cleaning chemicals. LG’s Self Clean feature also uses high temperature to get rid of splatter from the oven's interior.

LG will debut its InstaView ThinQ Range with Air Fry at the CES 2020 in January.

You can catch this new technology by LG at booth #11100 of the Las Vegas Convention Center during the CES 2020.
