Pharmaceutical management will be made easier with this new technology.

Now that the world has welcomed a new decade, artificial intelligence and facial recognition still continue to be at the forefront of all the latest innovations among tech companies.

One of the companies to come up with latest developments in these areas is AI and facial recognition expert CyberLink Corp. The company has just announced that it will integrate its AI facial recognition engine FaceMe into the smart medicine dispensing cabinets of iMedtac.

iMedtac is a company that offers high-tech patient-oriented solutions. Among its products is the smart medicine cabinet that requires at least two pharmacists to open medicine chests using passcodes.

Through the partnership between FaceMe and iMedtac, only authorized medical personnel will be able to access the smart medicine dispensers using AI facial recognition. This way, medical institutions can ensure that controlled substances are protected.

The technology can even synchronize with a certain employee’s work schedule to ensure advanced security in drug delivery.

Ahead of the world launch, CyberLink’s FaceMe has already been integrated into iMedtac’s iMedtac’s smart medicine cabinets in medical centers in Taiwan.

“The rapid growth of AI technologies, enables innovation across multiple facets of healthcare, driving breakthroughs in treatment, safety and the quality of patient care… The integration of FaceMe AI facial recognition engine into iMedtac’s smart medicine cabinet is a good example of how AIoT solutions can drive transformation of the medical industry and deliver safer, more efficient and better care,” CyberLink founder and CEO Dr. Jau Huang said.
