CES 2020 Luxoft ties up with LG, Amazon, Mapbox to launch Luxoft HALO

Luxoft is expanding its connected car offerings.

Digital strategy and software engineering firm Luxoft has teamed up with LG Electronics, Amazon and Mapbox for its latest shared mobility concept called Luxoft HALO.

The announcement came shortly after Luxoft also announced that it will be joining the Microsoft Connected Vehicle Platform to let car manufacturers offer connected vehicle solutions and mobility experiences to customers.

As with its partnership with Microsoft, Luxoft will also showcase Luxoft HALO at the CES 2020.

Luxoft HALO features a new digital, consumer-grade in-vehicle experience for riders. Luxoft has yet to disclose further details about this new automobile experience, but it hinted that this technology will offer customers access to their favorite content and services inside their own vehicles.

Luxoft has integrated Alexa Auto into Luxoft HALO to help users play music, get directions, place calls, listen to audiobooks, control their smart home and do more with just their voice while inside their cars.

The company’s project also uses LG Electronics and webOS Auto for uses such as multimedia processing, multi-display control, connectivity, security, and more. Luxoft HALO will also run on Mapbox, a live location data platform that powers maps and navigation experiences.

”Together with our key partners, we can now deliver a complete, highly personalized and intelligent in-vehicle consumer-grade experience, powered by webOS Auto, the platform for shared and intelligent mobility… It’s an open platform that delivers, with exceptional quality, an existing ecosystem of intelligent services and dynamic content – from in-vehicle infotainment to connected video streaming services and more – that is increasingly becoming an essential part of consumers‘ personal digital lifestyles,” Luxoft Automotive’s director of partnerships and head of marketing Vildan Hasanbegovic was quoted as saying.

CES attendees can learn more about Luxoft HALO during the CES 2020 at booth #6928, North Hall, Tech East, Las Vegas Convention and World Trade Center.

The CES 2020 is coming up in a few days from now, so make sure to catch the latest updates on the biggest consumer electronics trade show at I4U News’ dedicated CES 2020 News Hub.
