The Amazon Fire TV Edition now has more than 40 million active users to date.

Three years since launching the very first Fire TV Edition smart TV at the CES, Amazon is again taking to the annual Consumer Electronics Show, the biggest tech trade show of every year, to announce that it will be integrating the Fire TV to cars, media players, more soundbars and other devices.

In just three years, the Amazon Fire TV Edition now powers over 50 TV and soundbar models in more than 10 countries, with more than 40 million active users globally, the e-commerce giant said.

Now, Amazon has announced that it will be bringing Fire TV Edition devices in the United Kingdom, Germany, Austria, Ireland and India.

At this year's CES, which kicks off in a few hours from now, Amazon will be showcasing the first-ever Fire TV Edition soundbar that it developed in partnership with consumer electronics expert Anker, called the Nebula Soundbar - Fire TV Edition.

CES attendees will be surprised to witness Amazon's integration of the Fire TV Edition into cars. Amazon will be introducing Fire TV Edition for Auto. The company has partnered with BMW and Fiat Chrysler to offer this service, giving drivers hands-free access to Alexa to play their in-car TVs.

Additionally, Fire TV Edition devices will also be able to television and telecommunication operators' customers, starting in North America, Europe, India and Japan. It follows a successful launch in India through Tata Sky and in the U.S. through Verizon.

Amazon said it is working with the National Cable Television Cooperative to allow companies to deliver low cost Fire TV streaming media players directly to their customers.
