This article lists some quick ways to fix Error 83 in Disney Plus.

Disney Plus is an extremely popular stream service, with over 10 million subscribers which the company managed to attract in just about 2 months after the launch. However, as the streaming service is still in its early stage, its users are facing a lot of intermittent errors. One of the most common errors faced by Disney Plus subscribers is Error 83.

Fix Error 83 in Disney Plus

1 - The best way to fix Error 83 in Disney Plus is to close the app or browser and then start again. One of the biggest causes of Error 83 is serve time out, which happens mostly due to server overloading, heavy cache and memory leaks. If restarting the app or browser doesn’t work, try restarting your device.

2 - Another reason behind Error 83 in Disney Plus is geographic blocking. If your ISP blocks Disney Plus, you are likely to see this error. Contact Disney for support or contact your ISP and make sure that Disney Plus is allowed and unblocked in your area.

3 - A very common reason behind Error 83 is compatibility problems. For example, Disney Plus is currently not available to run on Linux. Similarly, if you are using any browser other than Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, Microsoft Explorer, Safari, expect Disney Plus to show errors. Another thing that you should keep in mind is that if you try to run Disney Plus in browser on your entertainment console, it won’t run. You should use Disney Plus app in your consoles. If for some reason you are unable to use the app, try using Chromecast or AirPlay.

4 - Error 83 is strongly related to device incompatibility. Therefore if all of the above solutions fail to work for you, try using your Disney Plus account in a different device. If everything works in that device, you will know that it’s your device that needs an update or a fix. Contact Disney Plus help center and inform them about the error and your device details.
