TCL enters smartphone market with a blast: Review of TCL 5G, TCL 10 Pro and More

TCL, which makes TVs, has decided to enter the smartphone market. The company showed some excellent functional models of its upcoming phones at the CES 2020.

TCL is one of the most famous China-based companies. The company makes low-priced but high quality TVs that are giving a tough competition to giants like Samsung. TCL has now decided to make smartphones. The company revealed its plans, and prototypes of its new shiny smartphones at the CES 2020. TCL’s smartphone line includes TCL 10 Pro, TCL 10L, and TCL 10 5G.

TCL 10 Pro would be the Chinese company’s flagship device. Its screen is attractive, ultracrisp AMOLED, and has two curved sides. The phone looks exactly like Samsung Galaxy S10. However, 10 Pro would cost only under $500. TCL 10 Pro will have four cameras. The main camera is 64MP. The phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor.

The Chinese company also unveiled a functional prototype of its foldable phone. This phone, which takes aim at the recently launched Samsung Galaxy Fold, has a 7.2-inch flexible touchscreen with a 2K resolution.

TCL's 5G Phone

TCL also has a 5G phone in its magical box for 2020. Priced under $500, TCL 10 5G would probably be the cheapest 5G phone available in the market after its launched. This phone would also be powered by Snapdragon 700-series chip. TCL 10 5G prototype revealed at the CES shows that it would have a fingerprint sensor on the back side of the phone, which is odd to say the least.

TCL will give a tough time to smartphone companies like Apple and Samsung, especially in China. TCL has an advantage as it makes high-class screens in-house. The company’s phones are extremely cheap and provide value. These factors would affect big companies that are trying to sustain their high revenues.

TCL said at the CES that it plans to reveal more details, and a possible launch date of its new phones at the Mobile World Congress that is going to take place in late February.
