CES 2020: LuluPet launches smart litter box that analyzes cat poop for health purposes

Cat owners will be automatically notified if there is something wrong with their pets.

LuluPet, which develops smart home technology for pets, has unveiled a new litter box created to help monitor cats’ health by analyzing their feces.

LuluPet’s smart cat litter box uses artificial intelligence to detect litter weight and analyze other litter conditions to find out if a cat is normal, if it is having constipation, diarrhea or other health concerns.

The company said it has spent two years developing this intelligent cat litter box that uses lenses to determine whether a cat is urinating or littering, with an accuracy rate of 90%. It analyzes litter using AI image restoration.

The cat owners are then notified if their cat is experiencing certain abnormalities in its body.

LuluPet said it developed this smart technology to help cat owners prevent feces-related diseases, which are usually among the top ten causes of death for domestic cats.

LuluPet’s smart cat litter box is on display at the CES 2020, which is ending on Friday, January 10.
