Watergen’s water-from-air appliance GENNY wins award at CES 2020

This appliance is able to create high-quality fresh drinking water from the air.

Watergen, a company that seeks to make clean and natural water water accessible to people across the world, has released a new appliance that is able to pull water from the air and make it drinkable.

This new water-from-air appliance is called the Watergen GENNY and it has already been awarded the Energy Efficiency Product of the Year award at the 2020 Consumer Electronics Show. The award is part of the 2020 Smart Home Mark of Excellence Awards at the CES, which is given annually by the CES organizer, the Consumer Technology Association.

The Watergen GENNY can create high-quality fresh drinking water from the air. This way, people will no longer have to constantly purchase bottled water or have water delivered. It’s also Watergen’s solution to cutting plastic waste. With GENNY, Watergen said there will also be no need for installing pipes, which the company said, runs the risk of resulting in excessive levels of lead in drinking water.

This water appliance is also able to circulate clean air back into a certain room as it goes through the process of generating water from air.

"Our company's mission is to eliminate the need to rely on outside sources for life necessities and to help people become more environmentally friendly… We are especially honored to be named Energy Efficiency Product of the Year at this year's CES show because this award directly supports one of the top values Watergen stands for,” Watergen North America President Dan Clifford said in a statement.
