Laser X Laser Tag Gaming for at Home Review

With Laser X you can bring professional Laser Tag home.

Over the Holidays we tested a range of Laser X Blasters and the Laser X Gaming Tower. The Laser X system is based on a Blaster and a wearable receiver vest, just as you know from Laser Tag centers. In 2018 we tested Nerf's Laser Ops blasters, which have the receiver integrated in the blaster. This is a compromise as you end up aiming only at the blasters.

The Laser X range of blasters includes the original Laser X, Laser X Morph Blaster, Laser X Fusion, Laser X Long-Range Blaster and Laser X Micro Blaster. Each of them comes with a wearable receiver vest that is connected via a cable to the blaster. The size of the receiver varies as well as the range of the blasts. View our extensive unboxing gallery to see all blasters.

The ultra-portable Laser X Micro Blasters have a range of 100 feet. With the Laser X Morph Blaster you can reach a range of 500 feet with the included Long-Range Adapter.

The Laser X system allows for indoor and outdoor tag games. With the Laser X Gaming Tower, you can make tag games even more exciting. The tower has 10 built-in games that can be played alone or in multi-player settings. The games include Capture the flag, point games and more.

The blasters have a great build quality throughout all models. The light and sound effects are great. In the Laser X Morph series, you also have a voice telling you what to do. Watch the video below to see and hear the Laser X blasters in action.

The handling of Laser X Blasters is super easy. To reload a blaster you either keep the trigger pulled for a second or you have to pull the trigger and move the blaster up.

Each Laser X blaster requires a set of batteries to work. The number of AA batteries varies in each model. Laser X blaster sets are available at and on The a set of 2 Laser X Micro Blasters sells for $29.99.

Me and my two boys (8, 11) can highly recommend Laser X. Get a few Laser X blasters, invite your friends and turn your home in a Laser Tag venue.
