Olay returning to Super Bowl with star-studded cast for #MakeSpaceForWomen campaign

Olay is pledging up to $500,000 in donations to an organization that supports girls who want to be programmers.

Skincare brand Olay is ramping up its campaign for women with its latest advocacy called #MakeSpaceForWomen, which will air during the Super Bowl.

Following its hilarious Super ad in 2019 that starred Sarah Michelle Gellar, the beauty brand will be making a huge comeback this 2020 with an ad that celebrates women.

Olay is even offering to donate $1 (up to $500,000) to Girls Who Code for every mention of #MakeSpaceForWomen on Twitter. Girls Who Code is an organization that teaches girls how to solve problems, build community and even make robots dance.

To support its cause, Olay has released a trailer for its Super Bowl LIV TV commercial starring Busy Philipps, Lilly Singh, Nicole Stott, Taraji P. Henson and Katie Couric.

According to Ad Age, Olay’s Super Bowl commercial will run for 30 seconds during the first quarter of the Big Game. It will be produced by advertising firm Badger & Winters.

“We recognize that many industries have yet to reach gender parity, which is why we’re using our Super Bowl ad to feature fearless women who have been trailblazers in their own industries as a way to inspire people everywhere to get involved and support Operation #MakeSpaceForWomen,” Olay Associate Brand Director Eric Rose reportedly said in a statement.

The 2020 Super Bowl, or Super Bowl LIV, will be taking place on Sunday, February 2 at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida.
