Only MC Hammer can touch his Cheetos Popcorn!

Following the release of Frito-Lay’s trailer for its Super Bowl LIV TV commercials for Lay’s, Tostitos and Doritos, the PepsiCo-owned snack maker has finally revealed details into its Cheetos ad during the Super Bowl.

Frito-Lay said it will be showcasing its latest product, the Cheetos Popcorn, in a 30-second ad starring none other than the beloved ‘90s hip-hop star MC Hammer, who is behind the hit song “U Can't Touch This.”

The brand’s Super Bowl comeback follows 10 years since it last had an in-game Super Bowl TV commercial during Super Bowl XLIII when the Pittsburgh Steelers defeated the Arizona Cardinals.

Cheetos’ new marketing campaign, called “It's a Cheetos Thing,” will continue to run throughout 2020 after its debut during the Super Bowl.

The Super Bowl TV ad starring MC Hammer also celebrates the 30th anniversary of MC Hammer’s most popular song, “U Can't Touch This.”

The trailer of the Cheetos Popcorn commercial takes fans back to 1989, the time when MC Hammer composed the song, leaving fans wondering if Cheetos and Cheetle were the inspiration behind the iconic track.

"Cheetos is such an iconic and beloved brand that has gained even more popularity in the last decade, so we saw the Super Bowl as the only fitting place to debut our biggest product launch in a decade with Cheetos Popcorn,” Frito-Lay North America’s marketing chief Rachel Ferdinando said in a statement.

The Cheetos Popcorn is the brand’s new ready-to-eat snack that combines the taste of the iconic Cheetos seasoning with popcorn. It is now available in Cheddar and Flamin' Hot flavors.

The 2020 Super Bowl, or Super Bowl LIV, will be taking place on Sunday, February 2 at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida.
