Watch Tide’s “Super Bowl now, #LaundryLater” commercial

When’s the best time to do laundry? Later.

When it’s time for the Super Bowl, it’s time for the Super Bowl. Tide made that very clear in its Super Bowl 2020 TV commercial that aired last night.

The laundry detergent brand’s official Big Game ad entitled “Super Bowl now, #LaundryLater” starred American actor, screenwriter, producer, director and musician Charlie Day, who is best known for playing Charlie Kelly on It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

In Tide’s Super Bowl ad, Charlie is seen watching the Big Game with a group of friends until one of his friends, Canadian actress Emily Hampshire, accidentally stains Charlie’s shirt. Charlie panics and stresses over having to wash his shirt immediately, but Emily tells him to do it later instead because they’re watching the Super Bowl.

Charlie then ponders on when “later” really is. The ad shows Charlie in familiar scenes, including one at the very scene of Bud Light’s Super Bowl ad. Charlie also dances his way into the Pepsi Half Time Show.

Find out when “later” really is by watching the Tide Super Bowl 2020 ad again:

Tide has even made a couple of short clips starring Charlie, including one with Wonder Woman Gal Gadot:

The 2020 Super Bowl, or Super Bowl LIV, took place on Sunday, February 2 at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida.

Throughout the course of the game, the biggest advertisers spent big on the most inspiring, hilarious and exciting TV commercials.
