Watch: Nintendo unboxes new Special Edition Switch Animal Crossing Console

The new design is a breath of fresh air from the existing Switch consoles that are only sold in red-and-blue or gray controllers.

As the excitement builds for the new Special Edition Nintendo Switch Animal Crossing Console, Nintendo has released an unboxing video for the new device, giving fans a preview of what to expect as they unbox their new console.

The new Nintendo Switch system offers a refreshing feel from the existing Switch systems that are only sold with either red and neon blue Joy-Con controllers or with gray ones.

The Nintendo Switch Animal Crossing Console has a pastel-colored design that it pays homage to the upcoming Switch game, the Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

Nintendo’s unboxing video for the new Switch Animal Crossing Console features its resident reviewers Kit Ellis And Krysta Yang.

As they took out the elements of the new Switch system one by one, Krysta noted that the new pastel green and pastel blue Joy-Con controllers have a matte finish and are brighter in color than their picture on the box. Kit also noted that the home button in the controller gives users a feeling of the Animal Crossings like they are actually in the game.

The actual console, meanwhile, has the same black color as its predecessors, but the new one has an island motif, with islands divided by what appears to be oceans.

The box also included a Joy-Con grip and a dock that is a shift away from the traditional black docks in most console systems like the original Switch. This time, the dock for the Special Edition Switch Animal Crossing Console is in white and it shows a picture of Timmy Nook and the Nooklings waving the flag of the New Horizons.

The new Special Edition Nintendo Switch Animal Crossing Console is slated for release on March 13, a week before the Animal Crossing: New Horizons game launches.

However, Nintendo has already filled its orders for the new device. It has yet to make an announcement about when it will be accepting pre-orders again.
