Widgetbox is a community of widget makers for all sorts of tasks. Today it announced that its widget gallery was now available for the iPhone. The iPhone widgets can be viewed on the Widgetbox website from the iPhone browser.

"Widgets represent a largely untapped opportunity for businesses that need to reach their constituencies in new ways," said Will Price, chief executive officer at Widgetbox. "By hosting a new widget gallery customized for the iPhone, Widgetbox and the widget-making community are able to increase the reach and customization for messages targeted at specific audiences."

The widgets immediately available are ones for viewing the ten most popular Flickr images, the Fake Steve Jobs blog, Yahoo News RSS and Magic 8-ball. More than 32,000 developers participate in the Widgetbox community. Owners of iPod touch can also use the site.
