Survey Says 1 In 3 UK Internet Users Banked Online In January 2008

ComScore released the results of a study of the UK online banking sector based on data from comScore Media Metrix and analysis from comScore Marketing Solutions. Measured in the reports were online banking activity along with the number of customers and number of visits per month.

The report showed that in January 2008 10.9 million customers logged onto at least one bank account representing 33% of the total UK internet population. Royal Bank of Scotland had the most online banking customers with 2.9 million.

The most popular online banking brand was Lloyds TSB with 2.8 million customers and it was the most frequently visited with 6.8 visits per customer during January.
