We talked a bit before about the upcoming HTC event in London to announce the next generation HTC handset. Ahead of that event images have leaked onto the web that are rumored to be the secret handset to be introduced at that London event.

Update:
HTC Touch Diamond is official

The handset is reportedly called the HTC Diamond. The name comes from the odd diamond shaped rear panel of the phone. Features include a 2.8-inch touchscreen, Windows mobile 6.1, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, HSDPA 7.2, and 4 GB of storage as well as a microSD card slot.

The phone lacks a keyboard and is rumored to be only 10.7mm thick. The lack of a keyboard leads some to believe this may be an update to the HTC Touch. The London event is slated for tomorrow so we won’t have to wait long to see if these images are actually the phone being launched.
