An internal memo leaked from AT&T shows that the exclusive American partner for the iPhone has asked its retail employees to not take vacations from June 15th to July 12th. While the memo says nothing specifically about the 3G iPhone, a similar memo was floated last year for the iPhone launch.

The Apple developer’s conference starts on June 10th and this is widely believed to be when Jobs will announce the new 3G iPhone. The memo says that the vacations are cancelled during the time frame due to “an exciting Summer Promotional Launch.”

So far the rumors all add up to the 3G iPhone launching during this time frame. If rumors are to be believed the new version of the iPhone will have 3G, a GPS chip and may be slightly thicker or thinner depending on whom you believe. With added features my money is on thicker.
