There is little doubt that one of the most popular makers of smartphones is RIM with their ever popular BlackBerry devices. It looks like a new BlackBerry device is set to launch next week called the 9000.

Supposedly the rumor is 100% confirmed and the launch date for the BlackBerry 9000 will be May 12th. Supposedly the phone will be introduced by RIM’s Mike Lazaridis in an Apple style presentation.

The 9000 is supposed to be the first HSDPA blackberry to offer both GPS and Wi-Fi. The device will also run an updated version of the BlackBerry operating system.
