For many one of the biggest problems with aging is vision loss that makes dialing the phone difficult. A new gadget from The Vision Group makes dialing a phone as simple a choosing a picture of who the user wants to call.

The FotoDialer is designed to empower the elderly to continue contacting their friends and family despite failing vision. The device can be connected to any home phone and allows users to store up to six pages of photos for a total of 24 numbers available. One press of the photo dials the number automatically.

"We installed the FotoDialer for my elderly in-laws," said Moana W., an early user of the FotoDialer. "Grandpa takes care of Grandma, who is very forgetful. When Grandpa fell, Grandma was able to get to the phone, use the FotoDialer and get help. She said if she hadn't had the FotoDialer, she would have been unable to remember numbers and (was) too shaky to dial the phone. FotoDialer has literally been a lifesaver."
