Xerox announced a new ultra-slim portable scanner today called the 7600 Ultra-Slim. The scanner connects to the PCs USB port and can scan up to 1200 x 1200 dpi in 48-bit color. The scanner is also bundled with a full suite of document and image management software.

The scanner only weighs 3.3 pounds, is under 1.5-inches thick, and is powered by the USB port. The included software with the scanner is Nuance PaperPort 11 SE with built-in OCR and ArcSoft PhotoImpression 5.0. Pricing for the 7600 is $99.99 and it is available now.
