A rumor is going around that Sony is working on a new controller for the PS3 that is two pieces and would be motion sensing. I guess the old adage “if you can’t beat them, join them” is holding true as Sony whips up a Wii style controller.

According to Trusted Reviews the controller would have an accelerometer in each half to allow for motion sensing like the current controller offers. Obviously the image here is not the real deal as Trusted Reviews says.

It would be cool to get a new controller for the PS3. I never use the motion sensitive control of the PS3, but I quite like how you control the Wii on most games. It would be nice to get that on my PS3.
