Sony released PS3 firmware 2.36 today. We actually expected the new Sony PSP firmware 4.00. The new Sony PS3 firmware comes a bit unexpected.

The Sony PS3 firmware 2.36 is not really exciting though. Sony only lists PlayStation software standards and stability improvements.
In May we reported about rumors of the Sony PS3 firmware 2.40, which is supposed to bring in-game XMB menus and achievement management called trophies.
