Whrrl Adds Support For More Mobile Handsets

Pelago, the creators of the mobile social networking application Whrrl announced today that the applications now supported by more mobile handsets. Newly supported devices include the BlackBerry World 8830, several Motorola RAZR models and the Samsung M610. The Apple iPhone will be supported by the device soon as well.

The Whrrl service is available free to anyone with an Internet-connected device and allows friends to share their local city knowledge and location with other users. New features for the service allow friends to plot the real-time location of other friends and more.

"Not only are we now bringing Whrrl to more and more people, but we're giving them and our existing users an incredible experience that in true Web 2.0 fashion is continually improved through ongoing new feature and functionality rollouts," said Jeff Holden, Pelago CEO and co-founder. "What our development team has accomplished in the few short months since beta launch is a tremendous achievement and certainly places Whrrl at the front of a very competitive new market."
