When the Wii launched one of the things that some users didn’t like was that the device lacks much in the way of storage onboard. This is a big issue for those who use WiiWare and download games.

Nintendo has admitted that the problem with storage isn’t with hard core users alone and that any casual users quickly run out of space for storing and the problem will only get worse as larger games are added to the online store for the Wii.

Nintendo is said to be looking at ways to fix this issue. That will most likely mean an increase in the 512MB of storage the console has now and maybe an external hard drive solution.
