O2 has announced that it will be providing free landline based broadband Internet service to subscribers to its mobile broadband plans costing over £20 per month. The offer has some conditions though, subscribers must be in O2's ADSL service area, and it only offers 3GB per month of bandwidth.

Webuser says that the package is free for the first 12 months, which insinuates that after the first year customers will be charged for keeping the broadband service. The deal is not only for new subscribers.

O2 will be offering current subscribers free access as well. The deal is available in O2 stores and online and expires October 31st.
