It feels like Google started talking about its Android mobile phone Os decades ago. HTC says that its Android based handsets are on track and will be released on time before the end of 2008.

HTC says that the handsets will ship in ODM form to its clients in Q4 of this year. Google first introduces Android in November of 2007.

The first handset maker to bring Android phone to market is unknown at this point, but odds are it will be HTC. HTC makes handsets for T-mobile under the T-Mobile brand. That leads some to believe that the first Android powered devices to pop up will be made by HTC and branded by T-Mobile.
